Exquisite Self-Portrait was published on the occasion of Pruitt’s Pattern and Degradation exhibition at Gavin Brown’s Enterprise and Maccarone Galleries in New York. The book catalogues Pruitt’s recent projects, including Kitlers (collected images of cats with Hitler moustaches), googly eyed cardboard monster sculptures, paintings based on Ikea’s wall art, a series of spray paint paintings based on traditional Amish quilts, silver guilt kitchen chairs, people feeders, Cinnabuns and the afore mentioned exquisite self portraits.
