For the 2019 Foire Internationale d’Art Contemporain Karma will present a range of recent and historical works by Gertrude Abercrombie, Henni Alftan, Dike Blair, Mathew Cerletty, Ann Craven, Alex Da Corte, Louise Fishman, Paul Mogensen, Thaddeus Mosley, and Woody De Othello. The presentation, in booth J05, will also highlight a focused selection of oil and acrylic paintings by Marley Freeman (b. 1981). Drawing from the combined disciplines of abstract and representational painting, Freeman’s unique facture is characterized by the hand-mixed gesso, acrylic, and oil paints she uses to create meticulous, psychologically-charged color fields. She completed her MFA at the Milton Avery Graduate School of Arts at Bard College, New York, and her BFA at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Recent solo exhibitions include Karma, New York (2019); Janice Guy at MBnb, New York (2018); Parker Gallery, Los Angeles (2018); PSM, Berlin (2017); and Cleopatra’s, Brooklyn (2015), among others.
